the friendly staff, helpfull and spoke a little english,The room was quite spacious by Japanese standards, and comfortable. The bathroom was the standard cubicle affair. Although there was no injternet in the rooms, the free ethernet and superfast wifi in the lobby was a definite bonus. Also PC available to use. Dining tables and chairs in lobby area great idea.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were quite nice, with firm and comfortable beds. Everything was very clean and spacious. The location was excellent, as it was within walking distance to many of the main sights in the city. We could easily access the subway and the bus station, making it convenient to visit all the great temples and attractions. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, and they even provided a free light breakfast with coffee, tea, and pastries. We also appreciated the secure place to store our luggage after check-in and check-out.
Nothing, all great.

The room rate is reasonable. View from the window was pleasant. The staff was English speaking at least a little and was very courteous. The location was reasonable for me.
Though it was promised that guests cab have free tea or coffee from 7 a.m. till 11 p.m., there was no coffee every day at least till 7.20 and sometimes even till 8.00 because the coffee machine was not switched on by the staff in time. If you need to leave the hotel at 7.30, it gets on nerves a little.

it was near the Kyouto Station
the price was high, but the level of the room wasnt. the walls were damaged, air condition wasnt really isolated. had cockroaches two days in row. Internet was only in the lobby and not in the room. During the 3 weeks in japan was this the most expensive hotel and the worst I had stayed in.

If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Kyoto, this hotel is the perfect choice. the location is superb, with two train lines and buses within walking distance, allowing easy access to the major sightseeing places. the room is spacious, larger than what you usually find in Japan, and the bathroom, though small, is clean and functional. the staff is very attentive and the breakfast, while simple, includes free pastries and coffee. it offers great value for money and is a great base for exploring the city.
The soundproofing could be improved, as the street-side rooms can get quite noisy at night.

The friendly atmosphere and value for money. A great affordable, easy base to explore this beautiful city from. Thank you.
The bathroom was miniscule for a tall European like me, but it was very clean and I managed perfectly well for one week.

During my recent stay at Econo-Inn Kyoto, I was pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. They spoke English very well, which made communication easy. The location of the hotel was also great, with the bus station Kawaramachi Shomen nearby and the Kyoto Station within a 15-20 minute walk. Every morning, there were delicious brioches and coffee available, which was a nice touch. The hotel provided a warm and comfortable place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee during the chilly January weather. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its good service and convenient location.

Free internet and coffee/tee in the lobby. Helpful staff. International (english speaking) guests to socialize with.
The tv in the room was oriented at a very hard bench. I did not like sitting there and preferred sitting in the lobby for watching tv.

Location is not very good: 20 minutes on foot from Kyoto station (too far). You have to use bus, if you have a lot of lugguage. My choice was conditioned on cheap preis.
